The Bhagavad Gita is known as the song Astronomical This is the most sacred scripture in Hinduism. The Bhagavad Gita has around 700 verses and is a part of the great epic Mahabharata.
The Gita has been started by Shrikrishna explaining that the essence of man is not body, but an immortal soul. On the eve of war, Arjuna is filled with deep misunderstandings; He feels that killing his relatives and friends would be a big sin. But Sri Krishna answers that Arjun should not see himself as a doer. It is only God who gives life and takes away. Apart from this, the death of the body does not harm the soul. Like the immortalized quote of Geeta runs.
“The soul migrates from body to body. Weapons cannot kill it, nor fire consume it, nor water drench it, nor wind dry it. This is the soul and this is what is meant by the existence of the soul.”
By revealing his universal form, Arjun treats Krishna not only as a friend but also as incarnation of God or incarnation. English writer Christopher Isherwood later commenting on the Gita that it was “like a university lecture given by God”. Their relationships change from good friends to a master and a pupil.
These are the revelations of Lord Krishna which gives his divine power to the Gita. Geeta’s author Sanjay remembered the words of Krishna and this is the reason that Geeta is usually seen as ‘Shruti’, or knowledge is revealed. Even though technically Gita is memory, because it was later remembered and written by Sanjay.
